PERSONAL SYNOPSIS

Frank Emanuel is a graduate engineer with a masters degree in business administration. He is a professional engineer, licensed in two states. His entire career has been devoted to the planning, design, implementation, and operation of cutting edge audiovisual facilities. These include spaces with such names as Boardroom, Conference Center, Auditorium, Courtroom, Post-Professional Classroom, Surgical Procedure Suites, Distance Learning, Electronic Classroom, TV Studio, Videoconference. The Users are from all areas of activity including Business and Industry, Colleges and Universities, Government, Military, Public Authority, Hospitality, Healthcare.

He has a thorough understanding of the three legged stool of audiovisual facility design. The first leg is the Owner’s requirement and funding, the second is the User’s ability and desire to use the facility for cost-effective communication, and the third leg is the Design and Construction Professionals who bring the facility into existence.

AV NEEDS ASSESSMENT: With the Using Agency, prepare an AV Needs Assessment of Audio Visual requirements to result in a Report of Findings that Using Agency can approve, item by item.

AV BUDGET PREPARATION: Prepare an Audio Visual Equipment List of Products, Installation, and Training services price-estimated in Good-Better-Best Format.

AV INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN: Prepare drawings specifying sight-lines, equipment placement, conduits, wallboxes and floorboxes, power, data, HVAC requirements and noise control, etc, for direction to the Using Agency’s facilities and/or architect departments.

AV BID DOCUMENT PACKAGE PREPARATION:  Prepare plans and specifications for competitive bidding by AV Systems Integrators.

AV CONTRACTOR ADMINISTRATION: Review & Comment on Contractor RFIs, Submittals, Test Procedures, As-Built Documentation.  Provide expert Audio Engineering to verify installed sound systems relative to focus, alignment, balance, equalization, to assure that Users hear and are heard effortlessly.  Conduct Acceptance Tests, Prepare Punch List.  Perform executive demonstration of completed installation.

USER TRAINING: Train Users with the installed AV systems and as-built documentation.

WARRANTY:  Successful AV System Bidder will include a Warranty to cover the cost of repair parts and labor for one year with an option to extend the Warranty for a second year.

AV FACILITIES INCLUDE:  Command Conference Center, Briefing Room, War Room, Boardroom, Conference Center, Training Room, Classroom, Auditorium, Videoconference, Audioconference, Distance Learning, Video Projection, Computer Projection, Plasma Monitoring, LCD Monitoring, Video Cameras, AV Touchpanel Controls, Lectern, Microphone systems.

Retention Communication Systems, Inc. (RCS), Vice President of Technical Operations. The firm pioneered in the development of programmable desktop audiovisual equipment and systems. Tasks were design, procurement, production of hardware and software through subcontractors, marketing to major accounts, export sales and licensing. Users were military, Coast Guard, franchise chains, pharmaceutical industry, Associations, etc.

TelePrompTer Corporation [TPT]. The firm, known for speech prompting, sales meeting planning, and teleconferencing, pioneered in the application of show- business techniques to conference room design.

TPT Assistant to the President, TelePro. Direct audiovisual systems Engineering and Installation.

TPT Director of Export Sales for 4 & 8-track cartridges [Fidelipac], and cassettes;

TPT President, AutoStereo Music Corporation. 100 title library for car stereo pioneer Users.

TPT Director of Systems Engineering. Headed a department of 12 engineers and draftsmen in the design and installation of CCC command posts and training facilities for the Pentagon, US Army, Navy, Air Force, NASA, The White House, Universities, Boardrooms, Conference Centers, Auditoriums, etc.

TPT Engineering Technical Advisor to the USA Ordnance Guided Missile School GMS, Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Ala. Applied staging techniques to military service school facilities speeding up training. A 2 1/2 year personal services contract culminated in OGMS standardization of audiovisual and television in missile technician training; a monthly videoconferenced seminar to the USA Armor School at Ft Knox to train General Officers in the inspection of missile sites.

TPT Project Engineer. Designed speech and communication products for use in TV studios, "staging", national political conventions, and public speaking.
